Josh Hitchcock

Josh Hitchcock is the founder of Doctrine and Mission, a lifelong Southern Baptist and local church pastor with a deep love for the truth of God’s Word and the mission of making Christ known. With years of pastoral ministry experience, Josh launched Doctrine and Mission to encourage Southern Baptists to stay rooted in our historic confessional convictions and boldly committed to the Great Commission.

In an era of institutional confusion and cultural pressure, Josh believes the Southern Baptist Convention’s future depends on a return to theological clarity, transparency, and trust. Through writing, resources, and thoughtful commentary, he seeks to serve everyday Southern Baptists—pastors, members, and leaders—who care about doctrine, love the local church, and want to see the gospel advance to the ends of the earth.
